About this deal

This is the place that you must visit if you want silence, total relaxation and a deeper connection with nature. But don’t expect any amenities nearby (no shops, no restaurants). Yes, the beaches are crowded (I feel like I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but this is the truth) and noisy, but also cheaper than the most popular and better ranked beaches here. I prefer to hear the waves and relax, but in most of these places you’ll have music blasted through huge speakers, with terraces competing against each other in a battle of the decibels… The water was nice and warm and it is also safe for kids - for about 30-40 m from the shore line the water is only 40-50 cm deep - max 1 m here and there ... I have to admit that I haven’t been to Costinesti since I was a student (that’s more than 10 years ago!) and the time spent there is mostly a blur, but I do remember enjoying my time, as well as the beach – but mostly the parties.

Salty hair, sandy toes and red wine lips, Louise is a die-hard island addict and committed vino-phile. When she’s not writing, she can usually be found beachfront with a slightly chilled, full-bodied Merlot in hand, her Bali dog at her feet and the Spice Girls playing on repeat. Plaja Vadu is another wild beach which become increasingly popular over the past decade. As Vama Veche started to decline, people began to look for alternatives, and Plaja Vadu is one of them. A large-scale maritime and beach-landing exercise on the Hampshire coast has provided vital data to help develop cutting edge AI products for the Ministry of Defence. The beach next to Golful Pescarilor is said to be a private beach, and they charge a fee of about 30 lei (~6 Eur) to enter. Another beach that is actually in Constanta, the Modern beach was generally considered dirty and crowded, but the truth is that in recent years things have changed a lot and this beach is now clean(er) and very beautiful. The Danube Delta is also famous for its fisheries, and it is regarded as the perfect palace for a fish diet. Try the sturgeon and the catfish specialities.

I won’t go into great details about Vama Veche here because I have an entire blog post about What no one tells you about Vama Veche. Ever since a handful of cool Uluwatu restaurants opened at the entrance to this hidden bay, Thomas Beach is no longer a secret – though it’s still one of the quietest beaches on Bali’s Bukit peninsula (and arguably still the best beach in Bali!). Accessible only via a gravel lane and then a winding set of stairs, this secluded strip of white sand beach is well worth descending down the cliff for. Fringed by turquoise waters and dramatic boulders that protrude from the sand, this is postcard-perfection to a tee. Pandawa Beach has a mixed reputation – some love it for the bustle of sun-beds with beach umbrellas aplenty, but many will call it crowded and a little touristy. Well, if you’re after that busy beach vibe with everything you need just a few sandy footsteps away (cold drinks, Roosterfish beach club and a scatter of restaurants), then Pandawa Beach is exactly that. But if you want an empty stretch of sand with no one in sight, we’re going to let you in on a little secret and tell you that you can have that here too. Simply swing by during low-tide and wander past the crowds of beachgoers, and you’ll find untouched paradise. No sunbeds, no umbrellas, nothing – just a never-ending vista of white sand, lagoon-like waters and pure paradise. But shhh – you didn’t hear it from us…

When in Venus, we stayed at Hotel Dana– which we highly recommend, even though it’s not very close to the beach itself. At Parkdean Resorts, we’re BIG on beaches! Lots of our holiday parks place you close to the coast. Look out on shimmering waters when you visit Scotland's beachesor marvel at the caramel-coloured sands on the Isle of Wight. Dreamland Beach was aptly named by the Aussies, and is now known as the new Kuta Beach, despite its location in Uluwatu, far away from the Kuta crowds. Dreamland was once a hidden gem, but due to its bright white beach and popular waves, surfers from around the world come to visit this white sandy bay. Build sand castles, sunbathe, or get amidst the aquatic action – Dreamland is your wonderland! Bingin Beach on Google Maps 10. Sundays Beach Club – best for VIP lounging Looking for sandy, sunshiney exclusivity? Spend the day at Sundays Beach Club!

Plus, most of those premium areas are filled with lounger chairs and umbrellas that have to be rented (prices ranging between 5 – 10 Euros per day per lounger).

Brighton Naturist Beach, East Sussex

But do take advantage of it while it lasts – if you are looking for more secluded, less touristy places, that is – as most likely in the next several years things will change a lot here, turning this beach into yet another tourist place. Plaja Tuzla is a modest beach in a village which is becoming increasingly popular with those wanting to escape the loud beach music and barbeque smoke. Winterton Dunes Nature Reserve is a secluded stretch of coast around 20 miles east of Norwich. This area is teeming with wildlife and it also welcomes nudist bathers who like to relax among the miles of sand dunes that make up this part of central Norfolk.

If the beach situation changes in the future years, I will try my best to update the information accordingly. But if you are in Constanta and especially without a car, the Modern Beach is a nice choice for you with its nice sand and proximity to restaurants, shops and maybe even your apartment as it is centrally located.Another one of the best beaches near Bangalore is the famous Varkala Beach. With cliffs right next to the Arbian sea, this place is a sight to behold. There is a temple right next to the beach as well that you must surely visit. Take part in adventure activities like horse riding, parasailing and much more at this wonderful place. Situated in Kerala, this beach is quite the road trip from Bangalore. This beach is also part of the Danube Delta Biosphere, and camping and driving on the beach are forbidden. Unfortunately, many tourists break the rules, and some get fined. The main advantage here is that it is right in the city, so if you are staying in Constanta, or even Mamaia it’s easy to get here. Make sure to also read my recommended neighborhoods to live in Constanta, since we’re here… It’s almost cliché to rank Mamaia first in any kind of top list related to the Romanian beaches, but the truth is that it is considered the best place for all the right reasons: it’s the place where the biggest amount of money was poured in and you can see that.
