It brought a new stop-motion adventure to the big screen back in February 2014 and for fans or anyone that missed it at the cinema the home entertainment release will be one to look out for. Added to that is the epic concept of the Master Builder, who can whip up anything they want out the little bricks around them without the need for a manual, and you’ve got a lot to hold your attention in the action packed movie.

Suffice to say, the character of Emmett – who is voiced superbly in the film by Chris Pratt – binds the rest of the cast together. Building on the success of the toys and the more recent brilliance of Lego game, the dutch block heads ventured into the world of cinema recently with the smash hit film, The Lego Movie, so the upcoming release on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download should continue to pile on the gold bricks for them.

A new show titled Legends of Chima aired in January 2013 and was intended to be Ninjago's successor. If we’re just brutally honest, The Lego Movie doesn’t work anywhere near as well on DVD as it did on the big screen. Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Elizabeth Banks and more also provide voices in this family adventure from the filmmakers behind Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.The film goes through twists and turns where there is Lego destruction and super fast Lego building throughout.

Lego revived Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu in 2014 with a new season and continued to release 1–2 seasons every year. However, he’s quickly swept up in a hilarious and crazy plot that sees the nobody being forced to break away from his narrow lifestyle and develop new skills as the Lego saviour, The Special. One of the most innovative and truly funny features of the movie is the voice acting of Will Arnett as Batman of Arrested Development fame. That aside, the storyline is pretty mental, bringing a surreal comic tale to the multicoloured bricks that takes the funnier elements of computer games like Lego City Undercover and the Lego Star Wars series to a whole new, Salvador Dali style of abstraction. The goodies protect Emmet, who’s a bit of a good hearted bumbling buffoon being consistently chased down by Bad Cop.
